The Oil and Gas industry is one of the most risky industry, for this reason any effort to care the people health is welcome.
AutoID Systems has deployed in more than 25 drilling wells around Colombia the AutoID EMSS.
All the personnel that normally goes to the drilling wells is identified by an ID Card that has embed an RFID tag, one reader is deployed in the entrance of the drilling well when the person enters or leaves the facsility the reader detects the movement so it is possible to know who is in. if an emergency situation occurs all the people has to move to a secure place called Muster Point and is automatically registered by and RFID reader, with this information, the system gives a report of the people that is inside the drilling well and the people that is in the safe place. It there is a person in dangerous, the rescue team can take action.
It is no need to change all the facility’s Access Control System because we are able to integrate all the RFID readings with this system. -

Equion is one of the most important oil producers in Colombia, it’s a joint venture where Ecopetrol, the government company, has a high participation.
For Equion we have deployed our Emergency Management Situation System completely integrated with Continnum as the Access Control System.
In this solution we have implemented a mixed (biometrical and RFID card) access control in the barriers.
Also we have deployed fixed RFID readers in the muster points in order to count the people in the evacuation situations, but the users has the option to develop counts using a Hand Held and obtain online reports about the people counted and unconted.
